“Reach Of Resonance” director Steve Elkins @ San Francisco’s GLBT History Museum This Thursday, September 29th!

September 26, 2011

“Reach Of Resonance” director Steve Elkins will be speaking at San Francisco’s GLBT History Museum this Thursday, September 29th at 7pm, as part of a “living history” panel to mark the 20 year anniversary of the AB101 Veto Riot.  The riot, sparked by a statewide gay and lesbian rights issue, which ended with the police in retreat and the California State Office Building in flames, is recounted in a sequence of “The Reach Of Resonance” concerning Bob Ostertag’s transcription of the riot into a notated score for Kronos Quartet.  A short film made by Elkins documenting the history and organization of the riot will be shown at the event. Organizers and participants will be present to share their stories. $5 admission, free for members.
